Automatic VPN-Client Configuration — Astaro Security Gateway is able to automatically generate configuration files for remote access IPSec and SSL connections. These configurations can easily be downloaded from the end-user portal and imported into the user’s Astaro Secure Client or Astaro SSL VPN Client. This eliminates the need for the administrator to configure a VPN client on the user’s PCs.
Intrusion Detection and Prevention System

Extensive Intrusion Protection Signature database — Astaro Security Gateway uses over 6,000 rules (signatures) to detect intrusion attempts and to block them. The database is automatically updated frequently via Astaro’s Up2Date service. All IPS rules are categorized into groups, which contain all rules protecting a specific service, operating system, client or server. This allows administrators to easily enable/disable a complete set of rules needed within their individual environment.
